UK plans for 6 GHz mobile licenses in 'high-density areas' open for feedback

( April 13, 2026, 11:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The busiest areas of the UK could be eligible for future 6 GHz wireless band mobile licenses under plans being consulted on by the telecom regulator. Ofcom on Monday asked for input on the location of areas where high data traffic is concentrated in a small region, such as stadiums and rail stations.
