US judge partly denies Live Nation's sanctions request in states' antitrust case

( April 8, 2026, 23:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A federal judge has partly denied Live Nation's request for sanctions against US state plaintiffs and the District of Columbia, in which Live Nation claimed the plaintiffs received confidential information from competitor Anschutz Entertainment Group, and then attempted to leverage the information to dissuade a witness from testifying. The court denies the motion for sanctions in part and reserves decision in part, and within 10 days AEG and its counsel are ordered to show cause as to why the court should not order, as a monetary sanction against them, "any and all legal fees incurred by defendants or Rick Mueller regarding AEG's disclosure of the materials," the order filed in the Southern District of New York said.
