CCIA sues to block Utah app store law

( February 5, 2026, 17:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- The Computer & Communications Industry Association sued Utah officials to block SB 142, arguing the law unconstitutionally requires age verification and parental consent for nearly all mobile app downloads and purchases. CCIA says the statute burdens protected speech, overrides parental choice, excludes minors without verifiable guardians, and fragments interstate commerce while failing strict First Amendment scrutiny.See attached complaint....
