Meta pledges cooperation as UK regulator probes WhatsApp Business bulk texts

The probe focuses on Meta’s responses to notices issued as part of Ofcom’s scrutiny of the wholesale market for bulk text messages, where alternative messaging services, such as WhatsApp, could affect SMS pricing. Meta Platforms said it will cooperate with a UK investigation into its handling of regulatory data requests, as scrutiny intensifies over the role of WhatsApp Business in the bulk text messaging market....
