UK govt pledges to act on X’s Grok intimate deepfakes if Ofcom doesn’t

Home Office minister David Hanson told lawmakers Wednesday that the creation of such images was unacceptable, and said Ofcom has powers to tackle the issue under the Online Safety Act, adding that the government would intervene if necessary.
