Phones that can’t call emergency number to be blocked after Sweden’s 2G/3G phase-out

( November 21, 2025, 14:37 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Telecom operators Tre, Telenor and Tele2 have been ordered by Sweden’s telecom regulator PTS to block certain 4G phones that will be unable to reach the emergency number 112 once 2G and 3G networks are shut down in December.
