Snapchat says Australia's online-safety watchdog misclassified it as social media

Appearing via video call at a parliamentary hearing in Canberra on Tuesday, a top Snapchat official said that while the company would comply with Australia’s Social Media Minimum Age rules, it believed the ban had been unevenly applied and may risk undermining community confidence in the law.
