Platforms face new UK enforcement for suicide, self-harm, eating disorders content

The program, announced today by regulator Ofcom, will assess how services use age checks to prevent children from encountering Primary Priority Content, as classified by the UK Online Safety Act. It comes after Ofcom officials identified “small but risky services” whose “principal purpose is to host or disseminate content harmful to children,” the watchdog said.Statement follows....
