Driverless taxis in prospect for UK by spring 2026 under 'accelerated' rulebook

The UK government is accelerating the introduction of "automated passenger services" regulations, subject to the outcome of a consultation due this summer. The ministry expects the new regulations to build businesses' regulatory confidence to invest in and test the technologies in the UK.
