Quantum Regulators Forum to be established in UK this month

By Patricia Figueiredo ( April 15, 2025, 10:08 GMT | Insight) -- The UK government will formally establish the Quantum Regulators Forum on April 28, bringing together key regulators — including those for energy, telecoms, data protection, antitrust and financial services — to coordinate oversight of emerging quantum technologies, MLex understands. A final list of the watchdogs involved is expected later this month. The QRF, initially announced by tech minister Peter Kyle last month, has not been allocated specific funding, despite new quantum investment commitments made by the UK government yesterday.A forum of UK regulators for quantum technology will be formally established and hold its inaugural meeting this month, MLex understands.
