EU to study oil stock releases and set up state aid rules to counter price surge

In an announcement Wednesday, the commission also issued guidance to safeguard transport operations. In parallel, a temporary state aid framework will allow targeted support for energy-intensive sectors hit by rising fuel costs.The European Commission plans to study the coordination of the timing and volumes of possible oil stock releases, including of jet fuel and diesel, according to an EU communication published Wednesday....
