Support for Fehmarn tunnel operator is not state aid, Denmark tells EU judges

The European Commission said the support for the repeatedly delayed project was state aid because the tunnel would provide the same service and operate in the same market as ferries.Denmark told the EU's highest court on Tuesday that its financial support for a company to build and operate an 18 km tunnel under the Baltic Sea to Germany does not constitute state aid as it is not be a commercial enterprize. ...
