SAS's reimbursement of cancelled state aid prompts EU law questions

The requests for preliminary rulings are the latest development in a legal saga triggered by Ryanair's 2020 challenge of Covid era financial support granted by several EU states to their national airlines.A plea by SAS Scandinavian airlines to be spared a financial penalty for state aid that was approved by the European Commission but subsequently annulled is set to be considered by the EU's top court following separate requests from a Danish and a Swedish court....
