EU law for state aid exemption needs simplification, member states say

The legal text, which sets out some conditions to exempt state aid from the European Commission's scrutiny and approval, is set to be reviewed before it expires at the end of 2026.The EU legal framework that sets out conditions for state aid to be automatically approved should be simplified, several member states said in written answers to a questionnaire on EU subsidy rules, circulated earlier this month and seen by MLex (see here)....
