Renewable hydrogen production to get boost under two aid packages cleared in EU

( March 10, 2025, 10:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission today cleared an Austrian and Lithuanian state aid plan worth together 436 million euros to back the generation of renewable hydrogen. The support, which will come through the “Auctions-as-a-Service” tool within the European Hydrogen Bank, will support the production of up to 112,000 tons of renewable hydrogen in Austria and 13,000 tons in Lithuania. It will be awarded through a competitive bidding process to be concluded in the first quarter of this year, the European Commission said today.Statement follows. ...
