US state AGs, regulator ask FERC to clarify NextEra–Dominion comment deadline
( September 24, 2026, 14:36 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The attorneys general of Connecticut and Massachusetts and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection moved for expedited clarification from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission regarding the schedule of filings after NextEra Energy and Dominion Energy saw their application deemed deficient. The comment period related to the merger application was previously extended to Sept. 29, but the moving parties request that the comment period be suspended until 30 days after the application is considered complete. "The Commission has determined that it cannot reasonably evaluate the Application without the additional information it has identified; the same applies for the parties intending to comment," the motion says.See document attached....
