Vivendi to answer latest EU gun-jumping chargesheet 'in coming weeks'

( September 4, 2026, 14:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Vivendi has said in its half-year financial report that it "must respond in the coming weeks" to a supplementary statement of objections issued to it by the European Commission regarding allegations of gun jumping over its 2023 acquisition of Lagardère. The additional chargesheet was sent in early July, one year after a first statement of objections. It described a similar scope of alleged infringement but was said by the commission to contain significant new evidence and reasoning.Financial report excerpt follows.
