In a statement on Monday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that OpenAI develops artificial intelligence foundational model-based services such as ChatGPT. The regulator said it also supplies Codex, an AI-powered agent designed to enable software developers to automate various software engineering tasks. The regulator added that Ona also supplies a platform that enables enterprise customers to “deploy and orchestrate AI-powered agents to run software engineering tasks.” The watchdog is seeking views on the deal until July 3.Statement follows.
