Paramount, Warner unaware of specific US states’ concerns about deal

Discovery say they still haven’t heard from state attorneys general about any concerns regarding the proposed $111 billion deal, MLex has learned. The companies are concerned that, because no grounds for an antitrust challenge have been shared or discussed, any potential lawsuit could be politically motivated. That lack of clarity also appears to limit the scope for remedy negotiations because potential fixes typically depend on the specific competitive concerns identified by enforcers.
