Nexstar-Tegna order can't be considered by US appeals court, US FCC argues

( June 5, 2026, 20:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Federal Communications Commission argued in a reply that the appeal of its Media Bureau decision to approve Nexstar Media Group's acquisition of Tegna can't be considered by the US Court of Appeals because it is not a final order. The agency, which "expects" to act on the pending application for review by the end of the year, reiterated that the court lacks jurisdiction as the decision is not final until the Commission issues a final decision. Nexstar also submitted a reply in support of dismissal, arguing lack of jurisdiction.See document attached....
