Vandemoortele-Délifrance deal referred for in-depth UK probe

( April 22, 2026, 10:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Belgian food maker Vandemoortele's buyout of French bakery products maker Délifrance is to undergo a deeper phase II antitrust probe in the UK after a period to resolve concerns expired. The Competition and Markets Authority had said in December that Vandemoortele’s proposal to sell two production facilities in France might be enough to ease concerns relating to the frozen pastry market. But the company has not formally submitted a proposed buyer for approval by the CMA, the regulator said.Statement follows....
