Rocket Software's bid for Vertica database platform to be reviewed in Australia

( March 12, 2026, 01:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Rocket Software’s proposal to acquire the Vertica Analytics Database Platform from Open Text Corporation will be reviewed by Australia’s competition regulator. In a statement on Thursday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that while Rocket Software is a global provider of infrastructure and application software solutions, Vertica is an analytical database software that currently forms part of Open Text. The regulator added that the proposed acquisition will occur largely by way of asset sale.
