MicroStar's bid to acquire Konvoy to be reviewed in Australia

( February 9, 2026, 00:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The proposal by MicroStar Logistics, a US-based keg-services company, to acquire Konvoy Holdings will be reviewed under Australia’s new mandatory, suspensory merger regime, the competition watchdog has said. In a statement Monday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said Kegstar, a wholly owned subsidiary of MicroStar, has proposed to acquire certain Australian assets of Konvoy Holdings. These assets include kegs, keg tracking technology hardware and software, a keg repair and maintenance facility and a few employees. The statement added that both Kegstar and Konvoy offer pay-per-fill keg management services in Australia. The February notification of the MicroStar–Konvoy deal follows the regulator’s October 2025 announcement that it would oppose the acquisition, initially notified under Australia’s previous informal merger regime in June 2025.Statement follows.
