Alpine Software Group–PlayHQ deal granted merger-notification waiver in Australia

In a waiver determination published on Thursday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said Alpine Software Group focuses on acquisitions of enterprise software and software-as-a-service businesses, while GameOn supplies SaaS platforms PlayHQ and TeamPay, which support the administration and management of sports organizations. The regulator said that the deal involves Arena BidCo Pty Ltd, an indirect subsidiary of ASG IV, LLC, acquiring full ownership of GameOn Holdings Pty Ltd and its subsidiaries including PlayHQ Sports Pty Ltd and related UK and Canadian entities as well as RFGI Group Pty Ltd, a shareholder in GameOn.Statement follows.
