Thermo Fisher's proposal to acquire Clario Holdings to be reviewed in Australia

( January 20, 2026, 00:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US-based life sciences company Thermo Fisher Scientific’s bid to acquire clinical-trial technology provider Clario Holdings will be reviewed by Australia’s competition regulator. In a statement on Tuesday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that Thermo Fisher is a global manufacturer and supplier of a broad range of analytical, research and bioprocessing products. The regulator said Clario is a US-based clinical trial technology services company that provides regulatory-grade data capture and interpretation services for clinical trials. The statement added that while Clario provides services to certain customers in Australia, it does not have a legal entity in Australia. The regulator said that Thermo Fisher and Clario provide different types of clinical-trial services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers.Statement follows....
