Chilean FNE seeks Tribunal approval for Bunge-CJ settlement agreement on false data

( January 5, 2026, 23:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex sumarry: Chile’s Fiscalía Nacional Económica (FNE) has asked the Tribunal de Defensa de la Libre Competencia (TDLC) to approve two settlement agreements reached with CJ Cheiljedang Corporation and Bunge Alimentos S.A. over alleged submission of false information during the notification of their merger. The agreements, which stem from an investigation launched in December 2024, include a combined payment of $1.2 million to the fiscal benefit and a compliance training program for Bunge on Chilean competition law.
