US Chamber of Commerce suit vs. US FTC set for Oct. 30 hearing

( September 30, 2025, 11:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US District Court for the for the Eastern District of Texas set an in-person hearing on October 30, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. to review five pending motions in a lawsuit filed by the US Chamber of Commerce and its local affiliate in Longview, Texas against the US Federal Trade Commission claiming the costs of complying with the agency's new premerger notification rule exceed the benefits the government hopes to obtain. The court will hear the government's motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction, to dismiss and transfer venue; and to stay briefing deadlines. It will also hear the Chamber's motion for summary judgment and the government's opposition to the Chamber's motion for summary judgment and cross-motion for summary judgment.  Statement follows in full. ...
