Australian regulator releases competition assessments for reviewed deals

( July 9, 2025, 03:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Australian antitrust watchdog has released public competition assessments for deals reviewed under the current informal merger system. In a statement to MLex, an Australian Competition & Consumer Commission spokesperson said that further public competition assessments may be published for mergers being reviewed under the informal merger regime, which will continue until the end of 2025. The spokesperson added that while the regulator “endeavors to” publish assessments shortly after making a decision, more complex matters may require more time.
