Carlyle Group fined by Indian watchdog for merger overlap omission

The Competition Commission of India fined the private equity company's investment vehicle, CA Plume Investments, and Bequest, a holding entity of Quest's co-founder and CEO Ajit Prabhu, 400,000 rupees ($5,000) for an "inadvertent error" in identifying business overlaps when acquiring Quest Global Services under the expedited "green channel" approval route.
