In the Competition and Consumer (Notification of Acquisitions) Determination 2025, published late yesterday, the government scrapped the previously proposed flat fee of A$952,000 (US$624,921) for Phase 2 merger reviews, replacing it with a tiered structure based on transaction value, as previously reported by MLex.
