The regulator says that the departure of the respected antitrust lawyer won’t affect its “full enforcement program,” yet Carver’s exit just three years into a five-year contract is being seen as a significant blow for the antitrust watchdog.For Australia’s relatively small and tight-knit antitrust community, last week’s news that one of the country’s top officials with oversight of competition enforcement was heading for the door, just three years into a five-year contract, was always going to capture the imagination....
