Although denying dismissal, Judge Maryellen Noreika was unmoved by Disney’s insistence that its case does not require a patent-by-patent inquiry, calling the prospect of parsing the defendant’s portfolio for decoding and encoding claims “overwhelming.”Disney’s antitrust case against InterDigital will proceed in the US but is on hold, for now, while a California court considers a related patent lawsuit brought by Dolby Laboratories and two Dolby affiliates....
