In Kodak-Fujifilm dispute, UPC reasserts extraterritorial reach

In a dispute between Kodak and Fujifilm, the EU’s highest patent court cited recent case law from the EU's highest court to assert its right to consider the alleged infringement of patents registered in countries outside the bloc.In an ongoing dispute between Kodak and Fujifilm over a patent for lithographic printing plates, the UPC has asserted its right to pass judgment on whether Kodak had infringed patents registered by Fujifilm in the UK as well as in the EU....
