South Korean cosmetic company wins 'Nudism' trademark dispute

The ruling overturned a lower court’s decision that acquitted a cosmetics company, which sold products under the name CATALIC Narcisse Nudism Holic Matte Lipstick, and sent the case back to the appellate court for further review.A long and complex product name won’t shield a company from trademark liability if a single distinctive word within it is enough for consumers to associate the product with an existing registered mark, South Korea’s top court has ruled....
