UK surgeon fails in claim for patent as blood monitor inventor

The Intellectual Property Office found that Ali Kordzadeh’s initial proposal and subsequent contributions to the project were not enough to credit him as the inventor. The dispute arose over the patent for an on-skin blood-flow monitoring device filed in December 2022 by medical devices manufacturer MG Electric.A UK surgeon has lost a claim that he is entitled to the patent for a blood-flow monitoring device.
