Patent examiners are stressed as Trump administration guts union protections

The announcement has made examiners fear for their job and for telework arrangements secured in collective bargaining, at the same time the office again shakes up leadership at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.President Trump issued an executive order late Thursday adding to the list of federal agencies which fall under a March executive order excluding employees from organized labor protections. Patent examiners and employees of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at the US Patent and Trademark are now effectively without union protections....
