BioNTech and GSK grabbed headlines with a $500 million mRNA vaccine patent deal and settlement of infringement litigation, while AccessAdvance announced an expansion of its video codec patent licensing pool.In the past two weeks, major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies agreed to licensing agreements which could be worth billions. Bayer made the largest deal, agreeing to pay up to $1.3 billion to Kumquat Biosciences for an exclusive license to a cancer treatment. In the video codec space, AccessAdvance announced changes to its Video Distribution Patent (VDP) Pool, while Advent Technologies announced an expanded agreement for advanced fuel cell technology with Los Alamos National Laboratory....
