Trumpf v IPG Laser patent infringement, revocation actions joined by UPC

( July 28, 2025, 14:12 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The infringement action and the counterclaim for revocation in the patent dispute between Trumpf Laser- und Systemtechnik and IPG Laser will be heard in joint proceedings, the Unified Patent Court's Düsseldorf Local Division ordered today. The dispute concerns patent EP 2,624,031 B1 about the method and configuration for generating a laser beam with an unique profile using a multi-clad fiber. The decision to combine the cases was made for efficiency reasons, the court said.The order is attached (in German)....
