UK judges query division between UK, EU software patentability

Judges queried whether the UK can move closer to the European Patent Office in its method of interrogating whether new inventions are patentable. Today saw the second day of arguments involving Emotional Perception AI’s (see here) appeal of the UK Intellectual Property Office’s rejection of a patent application for the company’s AI music recommendation algorithm.  The case has been referred all the way to the UK Supreme Court. ...
