USITC re-opens investigation into Sonos after Google says it wasn't served

By Nick Robertson ( May 28, 2025, 15:38 GMT | Insight) -- The US International Trade Commission re-opened a Section 337 investigation into Sonos yesterday, after complainant Google said it was not served or notified that an administrative law judge found its patents invalid in March. The commission will now entertain Google’s motion for the full commission to review the ALJ decision.Google will get an opportunity to argue to the full US International Trade Commission that two of its patents that it accused Sonos of infringing are valid, after the company said it was not served when a Section 337 investigation into Sonos was terminated last month. The full commission granted Google’s motion for reconsideration and vacated the termination in a vote yesterday....
