US practitioners push for harmonization on digital design protection

The attorneys warned today at an event hosted by the agency that the US could be falling behind, noting that the European Union reformed its eligibility rules last week.The US is lacking when compared to other countries on design patent regulation by not broadening its interpretation of eligibility for protection for digital assets, two practitioners said at a US Patent and Trademark Office event* today....
