In US copyright case against Extreme Networks, expert testimony blocked

In so ruling yesterday, a Tennessee federal magistrate judge said the testimony would not aid jurors in assessing Extreme Networks’ potential infringement liability.SNMP Research must make its case against Extreme Networks without relying on an opinion by IP valuation expert Mark Chandler that SNMP’s prior settlements establish a “damages floor” and permit jurors a better understanding of SNMP’s “standard practices and customs.”...
