Geoscope patents invalid as abstract, Federal Circuit affirms

( May 2, 2025, 16:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed two Eastern District of Virginia rulings today that a group of phone geolocation patents owned by Geoscope Technologies are invalid as abstract. Patent claims reciting specific data does not preclude them from being abstract, the panel said.
