Ericsson announces settlement with Lenovo over WiFi standards

( April 3, 2025, 15:15 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Ericsson and Lenovo have reached a resolution today in their long-running global dispute over licensing technologies essential to 4G and 5G WiFi standards. The companies agreed to enter into a cross-licensing agreement and binding arbitration to finalize the terms of their new deal. Following the settlement, both parties dropped all ongoing litigation. This ends proceedings from the UK Supreme Court or US International Trade Commission to weigh in on their dispute, leaving key questions of international comity unanswered.
