Bruker motion backfires in US patent dispute with 10x Genomics, Harvard

Bruker Spatial Biology and two subsidiaries — who intend to present an “offshoring” defense — now not only face expanded allegations, but also a later trial date, as a result of their own motion to strike 25 paragraphs from an expert report for the plaintiff. The change-of-heart by the court could put pressure on the defendants, who only recently acquired NanoString Technologies, to settle.American biotech company 10x Genomics and Harvard University last week won leave to amend their final patent infringement contentions in a dispute over gene sequencing technology....
