Patent industry groups urge Senate to exempt USPTO from Trump workforce orders

The groups argued that the return-to-office mandate, hiring freeze and "deferred resignation" programs — each of which are opposed by USPTO worker unions — harm the office's ability to process patents in a timely manner and hurt American innovation.See attached file....
