Indonesian LPG distributor agrees to end alleged tying practices in antitrust case
( September 30, 2026, 07:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesian LPG distributor PT Hibarnas Jaya agreed to stop requiring customers to buy 5.5kg or 12kg LPG cylinders as a condition for obtaining subsidized 3kg cylinders, under behavioral commitments approved by the country’s antitrust regulator on Tuesday. The Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, said Hibarnas must also refrain from restricting supplies of 3kg LPG cylinders when distribution requirements are met. The commitments address suspected violations of Indonesia’s competition law involving the distribution of subsidized and nonsubsidized LPG in Tegal Regency. Hibarnas has 45 working days to implement the commitments, which the KPPU will monitor.Statement follows (in Indonesian)....
