( July 22, 2026, 15:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The methodology for how transmission system operators in 13 European countries share the costs of relieving electricity grid congestion has been revised by the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators, ACER. The decision requires grid operators to provide more evidence to justify how those costs are allocated, while confirming the method used to determine each operator's share of the costs, the watchdog said. The move covers the EU’s largest electricity capacity calculation region, covering 19 bidding zone borders and 16 transmission system operators across Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.Press release follows.
