Gaz-System's Polish certification for hydrogen transmission approved in EU

In a statement, the EU's Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators, or Acer, said it agreed with the Polish energy watchdog's decision that the company complied with rules requiring operators to be independent from energy producers and suppliers, but said Gaz-System's situation may warrant careful and regular monitoring in practice. It marks the first case of a hydrogen transmission network operator seeking certification under the EU's hydrogen and gas decarbonization package, Acer said. Executive summary follows.
