26 EU states told to get energy-efficiency rules written into national law

( November 21, 2025, 12:05 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission has warned all but one EU member state over their failure to fully transpose the recast Energy Efficiency Directive into national law. The directive, which sets a binding 11.7 percent energy consumption reduction target by 2030 and requires annual public sector savings and building renovations, was due by last month. Out of the 27 EU states, only Czechia met the deadline. The commission has given the remaining states two months to respond before it takes further action.Statement follows....
